Approximately the same percentile as our current commander and chief. Except he has proved his incompetency.

Nope, you are thinking of GW Bush and his poll numbers when he left office. Try again.

Sorry, Bush is no longer the current commander and chief. But, I agree. He proved he was incompetent and people still re-elected him and I think probably a majority of the 22% who are now Palin supporters voted to re-elect him.

CBS News seems extremely fixated on Sarah Palin, almost daily there's some reference to her. Let's not worry about Palin until she actually runs for POTUS, you liberals obviously fear her. How about reporting something news worthly! Here's something news worthy, The Obama Adminstration has allowed 29 companyies to opt out of Obamacare, McDonalds, Jack in the Box, etc... Because these companies were going to drop approximently 1MM employees due to Obamacare. CBS this is no where on your website, but Palin gets front page along John Stewart rally too.. No wonder you've lost all creditability. Link to Obamacare news: http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/health/2010-10-07-healthlaw07_ST_N.htm?loc=interstitialskip

Palin, the shiney keys of the Republican party. They just keep parading her out there to capture a huge amount of attention from the left. Dems just keep focusing their attacks on Palin. (Who I think knows she doesn't have a chance right now as Pres., yet keeps them guessing.) Meanwhile, Repubs are out there making great gains. Palin is kinda like Jupiter. She's out there sweeping up all the comets & asteriods (Dem attacks) leaving the rest of the planets (Rebubs) fairly safe & free of impacts!

Brokennews, I don't think, in the history of mankind, there has EVER been a Political Party as dysfunctional as the Republiklans are right now.

Palin's a clown. Good for a laugh, but certainly not leadership material.

gig76 .....Palin isn't economically intelligent. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Groooooooan! So we have an economist in the Oval office that keeps saying weekly, that he has "saved or created THOUSANDS of jobs", and the unemployment rate KEEPS GOING UP! Well, I suppose he's a great economist, but a real crappy statistician! Lord save us from anymore of his economic gyrations!

by jwind1 October 7, 2010 8:48 AM EDT statistics will tell you that a lot of those 22percent voted for Obama in the last election. Pray tell on what basis do you believe that statistics will tell you that any of these 22 percent voted for Obama. Reality will tell you that the 22 percent are hard core Republicans and there is no chance in h*ll that ANY of them voted for Obama.

I'm so glad that you wish well for your fellow demos! That way, you can quit dragging your knuckles and use a butterfly ballot as intended! ;o)

As is normal, your polling is biased and disingenious because of the way you stack your questions. If we look at the unsures and haven't made up our minds and the favorables, the unfavorables are far outdistanced by these totals. All you want is to be able to spin a story headline featuring the unfavorables and explaining nothing else. We are on to your anti-Palin agenda CBS. Why are you so afraid of her that you disparage her at every opportunity? Now we all understand what the Katie Couric was really all about don't we?
